The crew of the Unsinkable II emerge from the archives of the Temple after a long rest.  Refreshed they agree to set out for the dark Island.
But they have to deal with a grimlock ambush first.
The sightless creatures dealt with they use a raft to reach the shore.  The coarse black earth of the orchard is riddled with pale white worms.  The trees are all but leafless, twisted black branches claw up toward the unseen sun pitifully.  At the end of each row of thin basket, Garrick takes another black apple from the basket.
Torches light either side of the staircase that leads to a great theatre.  The Medusa’s lair.
Dramatic to the end, the medusa gives a speech before attacking the party.
“I have been waiting for you to come
I have been here all alone
Now that you have arrived
Please stay awhile
I won’t keep you for long
I’ll keep you forever!”

The battles rages across the theatre, the party ride their luck several times just avoiding the petrifying gaze of the medusa and the talons of her grimlock and gargoyle henchmen.

In the aftermath of the battle, the crew finds the medusa’s dressing room and her loot.
Ancient coins spill from caskets and ornate boxes, a few potions and a strange eldritch presse adorn the medusa’s dresser.

Epilogue:
Among the irreparable rent and torn statures statues in the theater only one is untouched.
Behind the dressing rooms a heavy iron grate bars entry to a spiral staircase descending into the Islands depths.  The ever-present fog spills upward from the staircase, thick amorphous tendrils slither through the grate in great waves, lapping or wrapping around your legs in a creepy parody of wading through shallow water.

The Grimlock floating village, above the sunken ruins of ancient Neopoli.

Neopoli, before the cataclysm.
