The Unsinkable II is anchored off a sinister fog-bound Island.

Following the discovery of the sunken Lighthouse and Aias uncomfortable incident with the Hunter Shark, Cole and Garrick were plucked from the sea by great bat-winged creatures who attempted to fly them to the strange monochrome Island.

However, Cole and Garrick escape, landing atop the log house of a creepy native tribe. They rescue Mara, the first mate of the Lugger from the cannibals (or was it the other way around) set fire to the log house and head inland across a long slippery wooden pontoon. Garrick takes a diversion into a sunken Gatehouse, almost becoming a large Eels night time meal.

The trio is beckoned ashore by a provocatively cloaked (limbs on display and curves extenuated) woman, who seems to control the torchlight illuminating the old stone staircase that rises to the top of a crest through a strange orchard of black apple trees.

Cole, Garrick, and Mara rest in the orchard, where they are come upon by a basilisk. After the fight, they notice a glow emanating from the Temple of Neptune and head to it and rest.

Meanwhile, Aias and Artemis pluck Bastille from the sea. Quickly identifying the fire raging across the floating wooden village as their comrades work they head straight at the floating village.

After several clashes with the degenerate cannibals. The party reunites at the archives of the Temple of The Navigator (Neptune).

Mara leaves Cole and Garrick to return what's left of her ship, The Lugger.

The Unsinkable II shore party discover the Temple to be the guiding source of the compass they found in the lighthouse and another mosaic depicting the Azurepoli civilization. Now they have the means to navigate the blight on a fundamental level. All they need now is a new mast for the Unsinkable II.

In the depths of the Archives of the Navigator, the crew of the Unsinkable II sets off a dangerous electricity trap, Cole repeatedly stumbles over the trap, frying Artemis in the process. Artemis once beautifully tailored bespoke purple velour suit is a tragic parody of its former glory, the flared trouser bottoms have entirely disappeared to both knees, one complete sleeve is missing as are both lapels. The elegant stovepipe hat has lost its top and much of the rim. Artemis is now more tramp than fop.

After a nasty scrap with the Shadows (the reason the cannibals leave the Temple alone) haunting the Temple, the boys discover the archive secret stash, including some useful scrolls, fishy dice, a diving helmet, and a strange metal contraption.
